Church-wide Ministry Training!
Riverside will be holding a church-wide training for those who answered our call to serve back in May. If you currently serve in church ministry or signed up to serve back in May, PLEASE make every effort to attend, as this short, informative, and fun event is designed to give you ministry specific training in the areas where you have volunteered. A light breakfast and childcare will be provided. Please RSVP your intentions and also to let us know if you will be needing childcare.

SWFL Project: Backpack 2010
is a combined effort of churches and organizations in order to provide FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to families in need in Southwest Florida. Riverside Church will host a packing party during the week of August 9th to fill these backpacks. Volunteers are needed. Please call Lynn at 689-9000 to sign up today. More information.
KidZone

The past three Sundays we have enjoyed introducing high-energy activities such as breaking piñatas, relay games, and a dunking booth to encourage our students. On Sunday, July 25^th we will have our Grand Finale ending our 2009-10 academic year. Our program will begin again on Sunday, August 22^nd.
Elder Nominations
As established in the Bible, Elders have three primary roles: Overseer, Elder and Shepherd. These responsibilities are primarily established in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Timothy 5:17, Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-3. Members of Riverside are encouraged to prayerfully consider the men in our church who meet these qualifications and could serve in this capacity. Nominations begin Aug. 1, 2010.
